(Digital Video Editing) Field Trip: ProCreative

Our instructor Gary used to intern at ProCreative., so for our field trip he arranged for a field trip of their facilities. ProCreative is located just east of the freeway in Midvale, Utah. The place is kind of hard to miss,  the door is bright red with a giant 12 on it.

WDA215 Digital Video Production "Syllabus"



Course Desription:
This course will explore the basiccs of video and audio production and editing, such as compition, lighting, sound design, and editing. Audio for picture, video compression formats and preparing video streaming over the internet is also covered.


Course Objectives:
Upon completion of this course, students should be able to:

  1. Differentiate between video formats.
  2. Understand how to import and organize media.
  3. Understand the purpose of editing.
  4. Demonstrate how to capture video and audio.
  5. Identify the transistional options available in video editing.
  6. Apply video and audio compressions.
  7. Demonstrate how to add text to videos.
  8. Understand the structure and attributes of digital images.
